Exquisite unused Certificate of Deposit printed by Danforth Bald & Co., NY, featuring sailing ships and sailor vignettes.

Edward Danforth was a member of Danforth Bald & Co. from 1850 to 1858, when he became a founding member of the American Bank Note Co. Robert Bald was a member of Draper, Underwood, Bald & Spencer and succeeding companies until 1850. He resigned from Danforth, Bald & Co. in 1853 and died later that year.
