Die proof entitled VICTORY which appeared on the face of the 1864-65 $20 Interest Bearing and Compound Interest Treasury Notes, depicting a goddess holding an oak wreath seated in front of six banners. This motif was meant to appeal to nationalistic sentiments during the latter years of the Civil War. The vignette measures approximately two and one-fourth inches by one and seven-eighth inches on India paper.
