The New York Customs Fee stamps of 1887, also known as the Silas Wright customs fee stamps (Scott #RL1-RL8), were a series of eight stamps issued by the New York Custom House to collect miscellaneous fees, not customs duties, from 1887 to 1918. These stamps were designed to cover various services provided by the Custom House, such as document processing or storage fees, and were not valid for the payment of actual customs duties.
