$1000 Bond Certificate from the Plymouth, Kankakee and Pacific Railroad Company from 1871, was payable in Gold coin. A gold bond with a large gold-colored underprint with some paper separation along the folds. Vignette is of a train in the country. Outstanding vignette at top of steam locomotive passing near a small town, and at bottom right a vignette of steam locomotive approaching viewer. Very nice bright red seal at bottom left. Six full coupons are attached. Printed by Henry Seibert & Bros. in the Ledger Building at the corner of William & Spruce St in New York City. Attractively housed in a protective sleeve. Dimensions are about 17″ X 23″.
