Dr. James Henry McLean, physician and wholesale druggist of St. Louis, introduced McLean’s Volcanic Oil Liniment in 1854. In 1864 Dr. Addison G. Bragg joined the firm with a product that he had developed called Mexican Mustang Liniment; this nostrum was eventually sold to Demas Barnes. By 1864, J. H.
