RS31c W. T. Blow, Dr. T. L. Stephens Medicine Stamp Pink Paper

$300.00

In 1851, Joseph Charless and William T. Blow were operating as wholesale druggists in St. Louis under the firm name of Charless & Blow. In 1863 the firm was transferred to William T. Blow who was then manufacturing Dr. T. L. Stephen’s Celebrated Chemical Eye Salve—said to closely resemble Roman Eye Balsam manufactured by A. B. & D. Sands, and later by the Wright Indian vegetable Pill Co. Blow’s eye salve, like the others, was composed of calamine, red oxide of mercury, camphor, almond oil and white wax. The firm ceased business soon after 1883.
